Terms and conditions

Last updated: November 4, 2026

These are the rules for using the Oslo Finanzas app and website. We wrote them in plain words. By creating an account or using Oslo you accept them; if you don't agree, don't use the service. Nothing here limits the rights that Colombian law or the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

1. Who we are

Oslo Finanzas ("Oslo", "we") is an app developed and operated by Duvan Vargas, an individual domiciled in Rionegro, Antioquia (Colombia). You can write to us at soporte@oslofinanzas.com.

2. What Oslo is and isn't

Oslo is a tool to record and organize your money: your accounts and your cash, your expenses and income, your goals, your debts and your recurring payments, with reminders on your phone.

Oslo can be used from any country. The provider is in Colombia, so these terms are governed by Colombian law; if you live in another country, you also keep the consumer rights that your country's law gives you and that cannot be waived.

  • Oslo is not a bank or a financial institution and is not supervised by the Financial Superintendence of Colombia or by any other financial authority.
  • Oslo records, it never pays: it doesn't receive, hold, transfer, lend or invest money and it doesn't make payments for you. The balances, goals and debts you see in Oslo are records: the real money stays in your bank, your wallet or your pocket.
  • Oslo does not connect to your accounts or ask for your bank passwords.
  • Oslo doesn't give financial, tax or legal advice. It gives you general guidance and good habits with your own numbers, on Today and in the chat, but it doesn't recommend a specific institution, credit or investment. Its calculations, notices and tips are based on what you record and are for guidance only; the decisions about your money are yours.

3. Your account

  • To use Oslo you must be 18 or older; you confirm it when you sign in.
  • You sign in with Apple, with Google or with a link sent to your email. Keep your phone and your email safe: whoever has them can get into your account.
  • An account belongs to one person. Don't share your account.
  • You are responsible for making sure what you record is correct.

4. The free plan and its limits

Without paying you can record expenses, income and transfers, see what you have left for the day, check your history and keep your accounts, goals, debts and obligations with their reminders.

The free plan has these limits, counting only what is active (archived items don't count):

  • 3 money accounts, with Cash included.
  • 3 goals. An account marked as a goal counts as a goal.
  • 3 debts. A card or a loan counts as a debt.
  • 3 obligations (recurring payments).

We may add to or improve what the free plan includes. If we ever reduce it, we will give you advance notice and we will never delete what you already recorded.

5. The paid plans

  • Personal: removes the free plan limits, so you can have all the accounts, goals, debts and obligations you need, adds Oslo's assistant, which answers your questions about your own records in writing, with a monthly message limit the app shows you, and adds the summaries Oslo writes you by email (section 8).
  • The assistant can make mistakes: its answers are for guidance only, are not financial advice and don't move money. How we handle your data when you use it is in the privacy policy.
  • You can pay monthly or yearly. The price, the period and what's included are shown in the app and in the store before you pay, in your currency and with the taxes the store applies. If what you see in the store at checkout differs from this document, the price the store shows you at the time of purchase prevails.
  • When other plans arrive (Partner, Family and Business), this section will say what each one includes before you can buy them.

6. Payments, automatic renewal and cancellation

  • All payments are made through the App Store or Google Play, with the payment method on your Apple or Google account, and are charged when you confirm the purchase. Oslo doesn't receive or store card data. The purchase is also subject to the store's terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (month or year) at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. The store charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the period and shows you the renewal date.
  • Cancel whenever you want in the app (More > Manage subscription) or from the subscription settings of your Apple account (Settings > your name > Subscriptions) or Google Play (Payments & subscriptions). You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Restore purchases: if you change phones or reinstall the app, sign in with the same Oslo account and use "Restore purchases" on the plans screen.
  • Offers and trials: if we ever offer a trial period or an introductory price, the store shows you its conditions before you accept.
  • Price changes: if a price changes, we will let you know in advance and the new price will apply from the next renewal, with the confirmation the store requires. You can cancel before it applies.
  • Refunds and withdrawal: refunds are decided and handled by the store where you bought, according to its policy. If you want to exercise the right of withdrawal for distance sales (article 47 of Law 1480 of 2011) or need help with a charge, write to us at soporte@oslofinanzas.com and we'll help you with the store.

7. If your plan expires or you cancel it

When the paid period ends you go back to the free plan and nothing is deleted:

  • Anything over the free plan limits becomes read-only: you can still see it and it counts in your totals, but you can't add entries to it or edit it.
  • You choose what stays active within the limits. If you don't choose, the oldest ones stay active, and Cash always stays active.
  • When you renew or go back to a paid plan, everything is available again.

8. Reminders and emails

Oslo reminds you of your obligations based on the dates and amounts you record. Reminders on your phone are free and always there, with or without a plan: your phone schedules them and they depend on notification permissions and your phone's system. We do our best for them to arrive on time, but your payments remain your responsibility.

There are four emails everyone gets, with or without a plan, because they are part of the service: your welcome when you create the account; the notice of a charge for your subscription, a courtesy alongside Apple's or Google's receipt (the store's receipt is the proof of purchase, ours is not); the notice that your plan will not renew; and the confirmation that your account has been deleted.

The summaries Oslo writes you by email — your week, your month, what is due and your streak — come with a paid plan, Personal and up. They are not sent on the free plan, and you don't lose the reminder: your phone still tells you what is due and how your streak is doing.

Everything can be turned off, except what the service itself needs. The email summaries and every reminder on your phone have their switch in More > Settings > Notifications, and every summary carries a one-tap link to stop receiving it. The four emails above can't be turned off, because without them we couldn't tell you what is happening to your account or your subscription.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use Oslo for:

  • Illegal activities, money laundering, taking deposits from the public, illegal lending or abusive collections.
  • Impersonating another person or recording other people's data without a legitimate reason.
  • Automating the use of the app, overloading the service or getting around your plan's limits.
  • Copying, decompiling or reverse engineering the app, except as the law allows.

10. Your data and our brand

What you record is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as explained in the privacy policy, and you can delete it whenever you want.

Crash reports and usage data are on from the moment you install Oslo. What each one carries is in the privacy policy (sections 3 and 7), and you can turn them off whenever you want in More > Help and privacy > Data and privacy.

Your feedback and ideas. If you send us comments, ideas or suggestions, for example from More > We want to hear from you, we may use them to improve Oslo, without that obliging us to do so, to pay you or to give you credit for them. How we keep what you send us is in the privacy policy.

The app, the site, the name Oslo Finanzas, the Oslo character, his friends and their designs belong to their developer. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app while you have an account.

11. Availability and changes

  • We work to keep Oslo always running, but there may be failures, maintenance or provider outages. What you record without signal is saved on your phone and uploaded when the connection comes back.
  • We may improve, change or remove features. If we remove an important paid feature, we will give you advance notice and you will be able to cancel.
  • We may update these terms. We will publish the new version here with its date and, if the change is important, we will let you know in the app before it applies.

12. Liability

Oslo is a recording tool: it is not responsible for financial decisions you make based on your records, for payments you fail to make, for errors in the data you recorded, or for failures of third-party services (stores, your phone's system or carriers). To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid Oslo in the 12 months before the event. These limits don't apply where Colombian law doesn't allow them, and they don't restrict your rights as a consumer.

13. Deleting your account, suspension and closure

You can delete your account and all your data whenever you want, in the app (More > Delete account) or at oslofinanzas.com/eliminar-cuenta. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription bought in the store: cancel it from your Apple or Google Play account too. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, especially for fraud or for use to harm other people; when possible, we will let you know beforehand and tell you why.

14. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, including the Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011) and the personal data protection regime (Law 1581 of 2012), without prejudice to the non-waivable consumer rights that the law of the country where you live gives you. If you have a complaint, write to us first: we respond within 15 business days at most. You can also go to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (www.sic.gov.co).
